1)Red Square [skweə] is in the centre [ʹsentə] of Moscow. There are lots of things to see there. Firstly, the Spassky Tower, built in the 16th century [ʹsentʃərı], has a beautiful tower clock. You can also see the Lenin Mausoleum. [͵mɔ:səʹlıəm]

2) Kuzminsky Park is a green spot of Moscow. The district is a family nest of the Golitsyn Princes [͵prınʹses], a summer house settlement(сельский летний дом) in the past(в прошлом), which(который) was(был) famous for(знаменит) its(своим) great (замечательным) location [ləʋʹkeıʃ(ə)n](местоположением), remarkable [rıʹmɑ:kəb(ə)l](замечательными) parks, and picturesque [͵pıktʃəʹresk](живописными) ponds(прудами). Today there is a museum there. This preserved [prıʹzɜ:vd](хорошо сохранившийся) nature [ʹneıtʃə](природный) complex(комплекс) of the city(города) is (является)of unique [ju:ʹni:k](уникальной) ecological [͵i:kəʹlɒdʒık(ə)l], scenic [ʹsi:nık](живописной), historical and cultural value [ʹvælju:] (ценностью).

3)The Sphinxes[sfıŋksiz]  of St Petersburg stand over the Neva River. They are about 3500 years old and come from Egypt [ʹıdʒıpt]. They weigh [weı](весят) more than 23,000 kg.

4) Lake Baikal

Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world and a very popular skiing resort [rıʹzɔ:t] in Russia. It is located (он расположен)in Siberia [saıʹbı(ə)rıə] near the Mongolian [mɒnʹgəʋlıən] border [ʹbɔ:də](границей)  and it is surrounded [səʹraʋndid](окружено) by mountains[ʹmaʋntınz](горами), forests [ʹfɒrısts](лесами) and wild [waıld] (бурными) rivers(реками)

                                                     Moscow

Moscow is a beautiful [ʹbju:tıf(ə)l] (красивый) city [ʹsıtı](город) .The population [͵pɒpjʋʹleıʃ(ə)n] (население) of Moscow is more than(более чем) 12 000 000  million. It is a very big city and there are lots of things to do there. The city is proud(гордится) of its museums and art(художественными) galleries(галереями) . Moscow's biggest museum is the Pushkin Museum of  Fine Arts(Изобразительных Искусств) , which(который) houses(размещает)  one of the world's largest collec­tions of ancient [ʹeınʃ(ə)nt](древнего) , classical (классического) and oriental [͵ɔ:rıʹentl](восточного), works of art(произведения искусства) . The Tretyakov Gallery is famous all over the world and contains(включает в себя)  a great collection of Russian artists' works. Moscow is a big cultural centre with plenty of cinemas, con­cert halls, numerous [ʹnju:m(ə)rəs](многочисленные) drama and musical theatres(театры), including (включающие) world-famous(всемирно-известные) ones like the Bolshoi Theatre and the Maly Theatre, and clubs. Moscow has  a lot of green spots scattered [ʹskætərəd] (разбросаны) around (по) the city. There are 96 parks and 18 gardens in the city, including 4 botanical [bəʹtænık(ə)l] gardens.

             The people of  Moscow are very friendly and like to have fun and enjoy themselves, so there are many festivals during the year. However, the winter can be very long and cold. In the winter people go skating on frozen lakes. Sometimes the traffic can be difficult too. All in all though, Moscow is a great place.
